speaker s office. and then even going further, there s consideration that the democrats do not want to give the president a win on anything. and so, that makes it extremely difficult to get a deal. do you regret those words in 2011 about potential impeachment? in retrospect, that was perhaps not advisable. but look at what we re dealing with now and the here and now is that we ve got a trade agreement that s languishing. the president is having to go into his negotiations with china, with one hand tied behind his back because congress won t approve the deal with the two biggest trading partners, mexico and canada. that s not right. congressman michael burgess i think we all hope congress can make progress. you re welcome back any time. thank you, sir. thank you. we ll be right back. we all . but with less carbon footprint. can we have both?
taking a swipe at democrats attempts to impeach her father saying it won t get in the way of what s most important. watch. what do you think of what s going on right now with the democrats attempts to impeach your dad? i think everything is a question of priority. we have our priorities in the white house. we are fighting every day for the american worker. we are fighting every dave to improve the quality of life for every single person in this country and we are deliberate in that fight and on that promise. that s our priority. usmca, let s get it passed, congress. pete: that s a great point. what could they be doing? infrastructure, usmca. nancy pelosi claims yet again i want to pass. this we are getting closer. silence is progress. yet, we don t see that progress. they are fearful of only one thing, giving the president a win which could help
kennedy: i think we are focusing on the wrong thing here pay to get caught up in the minutia and the details and we haven t figured out what kind of in the immigration system we want. if there some kind of consensus, because i ve always believe that there is. we talked about this during the break, the democrats don t want to give the president a win on this. even though the president talks a lot about the wall and has made building the wall a central issue for not only his campaign but his administration, i think there are ways of opening the doors a little bit to good people. when you detain people and when you prohibit them completely, and essentially put them in prison, it s an awful climate. you really are punishing those children. you can t release those children, because then you put them at risk. god only knows who is going to come pick them up. having said that, as a parent, cannot just put your child in a situation where you don t know the outcome.
very weak deal is the job numbers on friday the existing tariffs with china are producing a weakening in manufacturing and retail and agriculture. and the second round of tariffs not just congressional republicans but the chamber of commerce and those that say it will be an economic shock to americans the president saw that jobs numbers they were disappointing and he took a bad deal and as a top issue that we need to do the things that actually work to make sure you are addressing the problems instead of just cutting funding. the deal that has been talked aboutm before specifically are they willing to give the president a win
we re in the middle of an emergency. even democrats are seeing this. what is the tipping point? what does it take to get everybody to say like we do every day, let s get this done. let s do better than this. we ve seen the head of border patrol saying what she was worried about that this idea that they lose control of the border. that s what s next. that they lose control. i had second in command of the border patrol council last week, the quote was, breitbart had the headline, we have lost control. i don t know why somebody doesn t propose a summit to sit down and wring your ideas. we do a summit every day. you re right. that s what has to happen. you talk about some of the issues, including daca and asylum and those two things have to you won t get comprehensive immigration reform. you have to do something. democrats have to stop worrying about giving the president a win on this. it s interesting. you ask when will it be a
