corporate taxes. we re getting a lot of talk about that this year, with the number of companies that aren t paying them. currently, the corporate tax rate stands at about 35%. as you know, some companies are crafty, and the current tax laws are loose enough to allow some companies not to pay any taxes at all. this is a big difference between what the two groups want. representative paul ryan and the republicans are planning to bring the corporate tax from 35% to 25%. the president s plan would increase it from 35% to 39%, and the president s debt commission splits the difference, bringing it down to 29%. now the commonality with all of these three plans is that they claim that they will reduce the deficit by about i ll show you, the numbers are roughly the same. about $4 trillion. they just disagree on how to get there. for the record, none of these plans would reduce the nation s staggering national debt because of the interest that we ve already accumulated.
president obama. they were talking about a new poll out of new york which showed 95% of african-americans in new york approve of the job the president is doing, though the overall number is much lower. trump talked about how he had a nice relationship with what he called the blacks but he said that he thought it was a shame that african-americans, he believes, support president obama primarily because he is black. he said, look at hillary clinton, she got a very small percentage and it has to have something to do with race. mr. trump continuing to stir the pot, as they say. i suspect he will do so for the next couple of weeks, probably into june. we ll have to start a regular segment, the trump file, at the rate this is going. true. the world according to trump. there you go. or maybe not. we ll see. candy, thank you. thank you. a fourth grade slave auction, a history lesson that you are not going to believe. that s next in my xyz.
