Odike urges Akufo-Addo to lockdown Ghana for the second time LISTEN 1
The Founder and Leader of the United Progressive Party Mr. Akwasi Addae Odike has accused Nana Akuffo Addo for failing to show leadership over his inability to lockdown the country for the second time during his 22nd COVID 19 update address last weekend since signs are clear Ghana was neck-deep in the woods.
The avid critic of President Nana Akuffo Addo believed Ghanaians should have been sent into lockdown instead of the announcement on the re-opening of schools and added that the daily 200 reported cases of the COVID0-19 should be enough grounds for the lockdown since the current developments were synonymous to what necessitated last year’s total lockdown.
On the 7th of January 2021, supporters of Donald J Trump attempted what would be classified a coup d rsquo; eacute;tat if it were in Africa or the developing world.
What is the endgame for this EC-political stalemate ?
By Yaw Sompa Listen to article
Well not quite of a stalemate; 6,730,587 forming 51.3% of valid votes excluding Techiman-South Constituency for President Akufo-Addo. Agreeably, another 6,214,889 for the Ex-President John Dramani Mahama. It is rational and fair to say the nation is split politically with 6 million people preferring NDC as much as NPP.
These figures may be in contest especially because of the unfortunate but explainable correction by the Electoral Commission about the total valid voters. My point however is, whether or not the total valid voters were 13,433,573 or 13,119,460, it still leaves us with more than 16 million Ghana who either could not partake in the process or chose not to, assuming our 30 million population estimate is indeed realistic.
