LAC LA BELLE, MICH. Fans of backcountry skiing, rejoice: After a delayed start, the ski season is now underway at Michigan’s Mount Bohemia.
An unusually low-snow winter had pushed back opening day at the remote U.P. ski resort, where operations depend entirely on the region’s typically ample natural snowfall. The resort announced this week that it was officially open as of Wednesday, January 27.
