The Lincoln Board of Education discussed proposed updates to the student calendar for next school year, which had to be changed following a new agreement with the local teachers union.
The cost of LPS s school resource program — which puts officers in the city s middle and high schools — would grow to $677,616, a 4.72% increase from last year.
LPS is currently 30 bus drivers short of its ideal staffing number of 150 and 11 drivers short of its current consolidated route plan, which could lead to delays.
