Cowgirls (and boys), donât cry, but weâre not getting a Rodeo this year.
On Wednesday Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo leadership officially cancelled the 2021 RodeoHouston, which had been rescheduled to May 4 â 23 because of the ongoing pandemic. What does this mean exactly? No competitions, carnivals, concerts, and all the other attractions that make RodeoHouston the pride of the city.
Other cancelled events include the Rodeo Parade downtown, Rodeo Uncorked! Roundup & Best Bites Competition, Worldâs Championship Bar-B-Que Contest, and Trail Ride activities, according to a release, which cited financial factors and community safety as the official reasons for the cancellation.
