Network Effect – a novel I read four times within a month of it arriving on my doorstep, and delighted in each time.
Fugitive Telemetry is not as substantial a story as
Network Effect: it’s a long novella rather than a novel, and so it packs rather less in. It’s also a little bit less compelling, for where most of the other Murderbot stories are in the action-adventure mode,

WEST BURLINGTON The Southeast Iowa Regional Planning Commission board of directors recognized Dick Keith of Burlington and West Point Mayor Paul Walker with awards for outstanding contributions to their communities at its Jan. 28 meeting in West Burlington.
Keith received the LeRoy Meyer Award for his hard work in restoring and redeveloping area historic buildings.
SEIRPC says on its website, As a volunteer and board member with the Heritage Trust, Mr. Keith was instrumental in the adaptive reuse of the decrepit building at 213 Valley in Burlington, transforming it into Preservation Station, the organization’s architectural salvage resale shop.
The Heritage Trust, a local nonprofit, is taking applications for a matching grant to improve the exteriors of Burlington properties at least 50 years old.
Each year, about $30,000 in grants are awarded for projects throughout the community.
