Presented April 22 and 23, the drama students at Walnut Street Christian School delighted their audiences with this year’s production of the comedy, “The Emperor’s New Clothes,” based on the Hans Christians Andersen tale. In this bright, crisp, well-tailored dramatization, written by Sharon A. Cole, two swindler’s posing as “tailors” (Mackenzie Conklin and Jaralyn Croak) pull the wool over everybody’s eyes until a homespun youth (Danielle Miller) has the courage to speak the unadorned truth, and all the fools are uncovered at last. The cleverly patterned characters, along with the tightly woven plot, kept the audience in stitches.
