SUMMERVILLE, S.C. (WCSC) - The Summerville Flowertown Festival has been rescheduled to October.
On Tuesday, the Summerville YMCA announced that the festival will now take place on Oct. 8-10.
Officials said they took in many factors into consideration before making the change.
“The Summerville Family YMCA is committed to our community’s safety and well-being and is taking steps to lead in this area,” YMCA officials said. “We are working with DHEC, Dorchester County Government, and the Town of Summerville to use our facilities as COVID-19 vaccination sites. We also are working with other non-profit organizations and community partners to support our community through health and wellness outreach, feeding programs, and keeping our doors open for our members.”
The artist The Weeknd is having a big week with his upcoming half time performance at the Super Bowl this Sunday where he is using 7 million dollars of his own money to produce and now has announced the dates for his After Hours World Tour.
This is the first world tour announcement by any artists for 2022 that includes North America and Europe. The Weeknd s 104-date global tour will kick off on Jan. 14 in Vancouver at Pepsi Live at Rogers Arena with a stop in Saint Paul, before wrapping up Nov. 16 in London at The O2 Arena.
With the addition of 39 new tour dates, The Weeknd will also release The Highlights on Friday, Feb. 5. The Highlights is a way to present some of The Weeknd’s most notable works in one place. While this isn’t a “Greatest Hits” album it does provide a new listener a rich foray into some of the iconic artist’s best and favorite work. Fans can pre-save and pre-order the album HERE.
The lineup for the festival’s October dates will be headlined by country superstars Luke Combs, Eric Church, Morgan Wallen, and Dustin Lynch. Other artists scheduled to perform include Ashley McBryde, Chris Janson, Mitchell Tenpenny, Travis Denning, Parker McCollum, Tenille Townes, and more.
