Nigerians are demanding justice for a businesswoman, Peju Ugboma, and a Lagos State Emergency Management Agency call centre agent, Omolara Omoyajowo, who both died due to alleged negligence by doctors and nurses at two different private hospitals in Lagos and Ogun states.
However, the Lagos State Health Facility Monitoring and Accreditation Agency said an order had been given for a probe into the circumstances surrounding the death of Peju.

“The Honorable Commissioner @LSMOH, @ProfAkinAbayomi, had directed @HEFAMMA LASG; the agency charged with the responsibility of accrediting, monitoring, and inspecting all public and private health facilities in the State, to conduct a proper investigation on the occurrence to establish the facts of the matter and ensure #JusticeForPeju with a view to preventing such unfortunate incidents in the future.”

The family of Peju Ugboma, a Lagos State-based chef, has accused a private hospital, Premier Specialist Medical Centre, Victoria Island, of negligence leading to the untimely death of their daughter.
The Lagos State University Teaching Hospital, Ikeja, had carried out an independent autopsy on Peju which revealed that she suffered internal bleeding.

Premier Hospital in the Victoria Island area of Lagos has been enmeshed in a web of alleged negligence as the family of Lagos-based pastry chef, Peju Ugboma, who is the founder of I Luv Desserts, has accused of being responsible for her untimely death.
According to a statement that has circulated on several online media platforms, Peju Ugboma had walked into the hospital for an elective fibroid surgery on April 22, 2021; unfortunately, she died on April 25 after suffering severe internal bleeding.
According to reports, pathologists at the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital carried an independent autopsy as requested by the family and it was discovered that the late chef had two litres of blood in her abdomen and pelvic area.
