From Friday, June 11 through Sunday, June 13, visit Firebirds Wood Fired Grill and buy a cup of its freshly squeezed lemonade from the old-fashioned lemonade stand outside and Firebirds will donate all proceeds from the sale to finding a cure for childhood cancer.
Firebirds marks its seventh year of participation in this annual event, Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation’s (ALSF) national Lemonade Days, by setting a fundraising goal of $150,000, with each of the restaurant’s 52 locations in 19 states participating in the three-day event.

Produce industry veteran Scott Danner has been named as the new general manager of C&C Produce in Kansas City, MO.
“C&C has had a severe growth spike and I am humbled to join the team,” Danner said. “I’m looking forward to bringing my experience and industry contacts here to help them continue that spike in growth.”

As part of his role as general manager, Danner will oversee all departments, and look for efficiencies in operations.
Danner most recently served as president of Pembroke Park, FL-based Premier Produce, a position he held for nearly seven years. Prior to that, he held a 10-year stint at Liberty Fruit in Kansas City, KS.
