initially starting the day in positive territory. welcome. i m sandra smith in for neil cavuto. this is your world. retired general keith kellogg making dire precisions from what he s learning today. we ll speak with him in just a moment. we have got fox team coverage for you with lucas tomlinson. he s live in kiev where forces have been placed on hi alert there. jacqui heinrich at the white house with how the administration is responding. we begin with you, jacqui. sandra, it felt more tense in there than we ve heard over the last several weeks. we ve been talking about this russia troop build-up on the border of ukraine. sullivan shot down reports that russian president vladimir putin has made up his mind to invade ukraine and has relayed that information to his military. jake sullivan saying that we do not know that that is a decision that he s made.
i ve driven down the major highways of where these assaults are going to go. where they re going to come from. and the one that is here north of kyiv, so from the west, north and northeast, of course, they re going to hit ukrainian army force who s have home field advantage who can defend and slow that assault down to where it may take a matter of, you know, days if not week to get into position to get near the city of kyiv. but this, you re talking a real war here. a war that is unlike anything we have seen since 1945. and the equipment that russians are bringing are designed to level cities. they are not going to be using their artillery just to go after these pinpoint precisions.
