exactly. we ve got a new precipitation type coming down. it s called snizzle. got ya. the leaves look great. for anybody out trying to catch the leaves before they re gone, you still got them up there. jim cantore for the weather channel, thank you. manners may be the last thing to come to mind when talking about taxi drivers. but virginia is holding a public hearing to consider a no ordinance to require cabbies to be polite and not just to passenger bus at all times to city officials and people on the street. residents, they re a bit divided. cab drivers sometimes don t give the necessary time to help people, especially those who are not from the d.c. area. i don t necessarily know that it s something that we should seriously look at or spend any time or money on. under the proposal, any driver who receives too many rude complaints could have their permit taken away. many cabbies say the rule unfairly regulates their personal behavior.
that s what the national weather service is reporting. not necessarily in downtown charlotte, per se. this was about seven miles northwest of the city center. the storm, itself, looks like it s trying to ramp itself back up again. just north now of the kannapolis area. this is moving near enecville northwest of concord. woodley, spencer, sales bury, rockwell, gold hill, faith in the line of this storm. the weather service is reporting this is a doppler radar indicated tornado. this tells us that the storm spotters are probably not seeing something on the ground. when i start seeing pictures like this one out of the greensboro area, that tells me that these are very high precipitation type of tornadoes. so there s a lot of rain associated with them. sometimes you can t see those tornadoes because they do become so wrapped in rain. so with those warnings out there you really need to take them very seriously. just because you don t see it doesn t mean it s not there. you need to get the l
