i would never vote for him, minorities would run from him. well,fr that s not panning out either. in fact, when it comes to minorities, the opposite is the case. hispanics are more favorably inclined toward republicans than ever before.e. the democrats haveev a historyef ignoring what hispanics really wantin. and what they want is to protect their family. they want more in order. t they want to be able to protect their faith and they love this country and believe in the american dream. lo a a and now republicans view their own party more favorablyor than ine the pre trump years. soso if that s trumpmp with diminished influence, i d hate to see trump with actual w influence . . so whatever trump decides to fourr his, in 2020 ideas are what is the real threat to the swamp? although the never trump ninnisl know that inl a second term trump s agenda would be summed up in one sentence. nold more mr. nice guy.r. so on the chopping block wouldou
i am one of two former synagogue presidents in the congress, along with senator jacky rosen. i ve got the i ve got on all my doors. i m really jewish. but aipac can t stand the idea that i am the clearest, strongest jewish voice in congress, standing for a simple proposition, that there is no way to have a secure democratic homeland for the jewish people unless we achieve the political and human rights and for the palestinian people. that s it. last i checked, that was the policy of every democratic and republican administration, pre-trump, of this country. but aipac has completely gone off the rails, and they are trying to end my career because i won t follow in line with their view of what it means to be pro israel. and of course, donna edwards, who lost in maryland, she spoke out early this week, rejecting,
listen to liz cheney give that kind of speech, it s very, very clear that her long war against donald trump is just getting started here, that whatever the outcome of the 1/6 committee s investigation and whatever the outcome of her own republican primary battle this summer in wyoming, she is making no bones about her intention to continue the fight against him and drive him out of the party or at least drive him out of american public life if it s at all within her power to do so. jonathan, is she preaching to the choir there speaking at the reagan library? are those the folks that need to hear her? yeah, i think there s a mixed bag out there, don. i think the audience sort of pre-trump gop stalwarts who don t like the former president, there s going to be also people there who are more friendly with the former president who i think probably voted for him twice. i think she s trying to sort of convert some souls, don, if you will, in that charge.
moving forward and moving into november? well, i don t think there is one particular bellwether. this georgia primary is an important one, getting a lot of attention as it should and donald trump does and will play a role in this race and other races. but if politics are about people, then campaigns are about candidates, and what we see is generally and this is true pre-trump, post-trump and in the future, good candidates with good campaigns win, and bad candidates with bad campaigns lose. it is why we see brian kemp winning in georgia over david perdue who didn t have much of a record as a senator, and lost his re-election. in north carolina, last week, madison cawthorn lost because madison cawthorn was the reason that voters voted against him, not as a proxy for or against donald trump. what we see in the endorsements that trump made, his magic number is around 30, 33% of where the core trump base is there for whom ever donald trump endorses. after that, it is up to the candidate a
direction the gop and pennsylvania is going to go. these are two very different candidates to people outside of the race. but to people inside, republicans inside the gop in pennsylvania, they saw someone who was a little more centrist and establishment with mccormick and reminiscent perhaps in some ways of the republican party pre-trump. and so, if he moves forward, this could signal that not everyone in the gop in pennsylvania is looking for something as trumpy as mastriano and certainly not barnette. weigh in a little bit if you will how we heard from dr. oz and his opponent mr. mccormick both talking about the importance of votes that had been cast by mail could be the difference here when, of course, president trump railed against them so much in 2020. well, i think what candidates are realizing is that every vote counts. that they want to actually encourage some confidence in the electoral process despite what
