Colorado Springs School District 11 has notified all staff members at Mitchell High School that they will be released from their current work assignments at the end of this school year. They will have to reapply if they wish to continue working at Mitchell High School for the 2021-2022 academic year.
The move comes after years of Mitchell High Schoolâs status as a priority improvement school, according to state and district standards. The decision was reached after conversations between the District 11 Board of Education and the Colorado Department of Education.
