The former Michaels Restaurant, which is a mish-mash of five buildings, at the corner of South Broadway and Center Street is slated to be demolished. One of those structures is intertwined with the city-owned Center Street Parking Ramp and will require a surgical touch, reminiscent of the children’s game “Operation!”
Rochester's BGD5 Development LLC, a Titan Development & Investments company, filed a permit May 27 for the “Demo and removal of one story structure constructed of lumber and masonry. The existing basement wall and slabs to remain. (11, 13, 15, 17 Broadway Ave S).”
On Feb. 1, BGD5 Development LLC, a Titan Development & Investments company, purchased the amalgam of buildings that housed Michaels restaurant, at the corner of South Broadway and West Center Street. Rochester-based Titan is led by CEO Andy Chafoulias, who has long been working on a development to be built on that high-profile downtown site.
