with a bag that should have been checked, you re going to end up paying higher fees than if you would have done it at the ticket counter or would have done it at home before you made it to the airport. we re still looking at high airline fees by the way of things that used to be free prepandemic and pre-9-11. neil: rule of thumb there, have a small carry on. some airlines don t like to bother with any luggage. they will ticket it for me on the way out. what is happening on that front? that is true. there are a lot of airlines out there now also charges you for carry on bags as well. most cases, the carry on bags are more expensive than if you were to check a bag. keep that in mind. you need to research the airline you re buying a ticket on before you make your way to the airport. one rule of thumb. if you re planning on checking a bag and let s say your airline does not charge you, you should
