Gogunda BJP MLA Pratap Lal Bheel
UDAIPUR: A 35-year-old woman from Neemuch in Madhya Pradesh has levelled rape charges against BJP MLA from Gogunda, Pratap Lal Bheel, who had a relationship with her after promising marriage.
The woman, who had given a written complaint at the Gogunda police station earlier, met IG Satyaveer SIngh on Thursday when the case was not registered.
The IG directed SP Rajiv Pachar to file the complaint. The FIR has been registered at Gogunda station and the complainant’s medical examination was held on Thursday. Since the charges are against a legislator, the investigation has been referred to CID-CB, the SP said. The MLA was not available for a comment.

A BJP MLA in Rajasthan s Udaipur has been booked for allegedly raping a woman on the pretext of marriage. The FIR against Gogunda MLA Pratap Lal Bheel (52) was registered at Sukher Police Station on Thursday.
The medical examination of the victim, who is aged around 35 years, was conducted and statements were recorded yesterday (Thursday), SP Udaipur Rajeev Pachar said.
The case was referred to the CID for investigation, he added. The victim is from Madhya Pradesh and has alleged that the MLA promised to marry her and then raped her on several occasions. They belong to the same community and have been in touch for a few years, another police officer said.

A BJP MLA in Rajasthan’s Udaipur has been booked for allegedly raping a woman on the pretext of marriage.
The FIR against Gogunda MLA Pratap Lal Bheel (52) was registered at Sukher police station on Thursday.
“The medical examination of the victim, who is around 35, was conducted and statements were recorded on Thursday,” Udaipur SP Rajeev Pachar said.
The case was referred to the CID, he added.
