18 die in Covid units of Khulna hospitals in 24 hours

Photo: Collected Eighteen patients died while undergoing treatment at the Covid units of five Khulna hospitals in 24 hours till 8am today. The hospitals are Khulna Medical College Hospital (KMCH), Gazi Medical College Hospital, Shahid Sheikh Abu Naser Specialized Hospital, Khulna General Hospital and Khulna City Medical College Hospital. Dr Suhas Ranjan Halder, resident medical officer and spokesperson of the Covid unit at KMCH, said that eight patients died at the unit in 24 hours till this morning. Of them, four were Covid-19 positive while the others had symptoms.

Star Digital Report Photo: Star > Photo: Star Ten patients died while undergoing treatment at the Covid units of three Khulna hospitals in 24 hours till 8am today. The three hospitals are Khulna Medical College Hospital (KMCH), Gazi Medical College Hospital and Khulna General Hospital. Dr Suhas Ranjan Halder, resident medical officer and spokesperson of the Covid unit at KMCH, said that six patients died at the unit in 24 hours till this morning. Of them, three were Covid-19 positive and the rest had symptoms. A total of 188 people were undergoing treatment at the hospital s Covid unit till 8:00am today. Of them, 115 are undergoing treatment in red zone, 33 in yellow zone, 20 are in high-dependency unit (HDU) and 20 at intensive care unit (ICU), reports our Khulna correspondent.
