Spring is in the air, the rains are calling forth the new growth and the Nevis pollinator garden at the Chamber’s Visitor Center along the Heartland Trail is about to be extended into a “pollinator highway,” featuring native plants and grasses to entice the bees and butterflies to pollinate their choices, and provide valuable habitat for songbirds as well.
Pollinators are critical to our food supply, as well as to the health of our ecosystem, and are critical to our northern economy which is so dependent on the health of our natural resources.
