BJP MP Pragya Singh Thakur
MUMBAI/BHOPAL: Member of Parliament from Bhopal Sadhvi Pragya Singh Thakur was airlifted from Bhopal and flown down to Mumbai where she was admitted to a super-speciality hospital on Saturday evening. She reached the private hospital around 6pm on Saturday.
The BJP MP, is facing a trial as one of the accused in the September 29, 2008 Malegaon blast case before a special National Investigation Agency (NIA) court in Mumbai.
She had appeared before the NIA court on January 4 and had said that she had certain health issues and medical tests were lined up. The special court granted exemption from personal appearance on health grounds on a plea by her defence counsel J P Mishra.
