CM Himanta Visit to Basistha Cremation Ground: Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma today visited Basistha cremation ground and took stock of progress of the beautification project implemented there under the aegis of Basistha Ashram management committee, cremation ground management committee and CMD of Prag News channel. The Chief Minister visited the pond which has been developed at the ground as part of the project. He also took stock of the special arrangements put in place for cremation of bodies of the Covid-19 patients.

GUWAHATI: The first-ever Ozone Washing Plant in the Northeast has come up here at Panjabari Bipanan Khetra . From December 27, 2020 people can get ozone-washed fruits and vegetables at the Bipanan khetra.
Addressing the media, sculpture artist Biren Singha said that it can be recognized as one of the important institutes where consumers can get chemical-free organic fruits and vegetables at reasonable prices. He said that through this market Nayanjyoti Bhatacharjya, the founder of ozone washing plant, is helping farmers.
The co-founder of the plant, Satakshi Bhatacharje, said that already they had introduced the home delivery system and they are optimistic of its success. She said that the ozone washing machine brought from Andhra Pradesh cost Rs 40 lakh. The other dignitaries present at the programme are noted actor Pranjal Saikia, author and journalist Anuradha Sharma Pujari, CMD of Prag News Dr. Sanjive Narain.
