A day after the recovery of 5 kg heroin, a pistol and two magazines in the district, the Border Security Force (BSF) today foiled Pakistan smugglers’ attempt to infiltrate and push narcotics into the Indian territory by employing a novel method in the Khanpur area early today.
An iron ladder and a contraption with a pole have been recovered along the fencing.
Sources said the Border Security Force troops noticed suspicious movement along the fencing near Khanpur border outpost and opened fire. The infiltrators, however, fled amid poor visibility.
