A week after it posted a comfortable win in Tripura, the BJP is learnt to have reached out again to tribal party Tipra Motha, which emerged as the big story in this Assembly election by winning 13 seats.
Hours ahead of meeting the BJP leadership for talks on a possible alliance, Tripura's former royal and Tipra Motha leader Pradyot Manikya Debbarma tweeted this morning that he "has not compromised" and asked his followers to "wait and watch".
The Tipra Motha Party, which emerged as the second largest party in the recent Tripura elections, today said it is ready for talks with the BJP on the basis of a Constitutional solution for the state.
