Special Judge M G Deshpande on Thursday ordered that the local police in Nagpur be informed by the ED to inform the escort guards to immediately bring Satish Uke back and lodge him at Taloja Central Jail.
The two were arrested by the Enforcement Directorate in March 2022 on allegations that they had indulged in money-laundering of proceeds obtained from usurping two properties of 6.5 acres in Nagpur.
In another case, Uke was arrested in March last year on allegations of money-laundering by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) and was then lodged in Arthur Road Jail.
The court noted that various documents and statements recorded under the provisions of PMLA, prima-facie, indicate that a forged and fake power of attorney was created by both accused.

Maharashtra Assembly Speaker Nana Patole has directed the State Law and Justice Department to prepare the draft of a Bill which provides an option to voters to exercise their franchise on ballot papers along with electronic voting machines (EVMs).
Mr. Patole had on Tuesday called for a hearing of a petition filed with the office of the State legislature by one Pradip Uke arguing that such a law could be enacted under existing constitutional provisions and it only required an initiative from the State legislature.
