Officers climbing into that occupied building through the second floor window as Police Wearing helmets and carrying riot shields, waited at the entrance to the campus, Police Sources telling abc news tonight. Nearly 50 people have been arrested. Protesters refusing to leave by the universitys deadline yesterday, breaking into that building about 24 hours ago, the University Says that move inside Hamilton Hall is what compelled them to call in the police. Postal service and other partners to resolve the status of about 16 ballots that are still in their envelopes. We have not received a response from San Mateo County Elections Officials about the status of those ballots, but with the margins this close, just four votes, it could certainly change the result. The Santa Clara County registrars office, using this as another reminder to voters that every vote counts. In the last election, we had a tie. This election that was a tie. There were a lot of people think that their vote doesnt count, but every single one counts. This is separated by four votes. Now you know what i mean. Here, when any of this was going down, when the account was going down, and probably wont be here for the foreseeable future, a couple of the students werent even involved in planning any of this or they werent even here. Also, the University Said it handed out warnings signed by the president and provost thursday night when the encampment first started tuesday, copies of that warning could be seen on posters around the encampment placed there by university officials. It says students could face suspension and some students are receiving personalized emails. Encampment organizers say the university is targeting certain people. A variation of muslim brown or black, or some mixture of any of those things. Only white students that have been given this disciplinary letter were antizionist jewish students at stanford spokesperson said that the university cannot comment on any individual student cases, but in general, students are being referred to the office of Community Standards for viola
