Private financial community Octo Members Group has agreed to sponsor The Practical Protection Podcast (PPP).
PPP founder Kathryn Knowles is regularly joined by co-hosts Roy McLoughlin and Matt Rann; episodes explore protection insurance, how to access it, how it is underwritten and how it can be a crucial part to a person’s long-term financial security.
Octo is free to join and offers hundreds of hours of CPD to members, which will now include the content produced by the podcast.
The network welcomes advisers, fund managers, wealth managers and consultants, and boasts almost 3,000 members.
Lee Robertson, chief executive and founder of Octo Members Group, said: “As a community conceived for practitioners by practitioners and dedicated to sharing actionable and educational content with the ambition of collective learning this is a very natural way for us to support the debate within financial planning.”

We now have the prime minister’s latest “roadmap” to a semblance of normality. Although it is cautious and slow, it at least gives everyone some focus; and, for those of us with kids, a well-earned reprieve, happy that we will be able to wave them off to school once more while the other hand clutches a bottle of gin to down as soon as they are out of sight.
It is difficult to be both an expert in mortgages and protection according to Andrew Montlake (pictured), managing director of Coreco and chairman of the Association of Mortgage Intermediaries (AMI).
