+ May 28, 2021 WHILE they agreed that there was no overcontracting in the one year extension for the 20-megawatt (MW) power contract of Central Negros Electric Cooperative (Ceneco) with Kepco Salcon Power Corp. (KSPC), a consumer group leader believed that there was an overpricing instead amounting to over P360 million that member-consumers have to pay for in the succeeding months.

+ April 23, 2021 THE Power Watch Negros Advocates, an advocacy group of consumers in the power industry, will join various labor groups in the commemoration of International Labor Day on May 1.
Its secretary general Wennie Sancho said Power Watch Negros will highlight the issue of continuing power rate increases by electric cooperatives particularly the Central Negros Electric Cooperative (Ceneco).
Sancho said government agencies on the national level had already intimated that due to the thinning power supply, increases in electric power rate is inevitable.
