saying. you can put that to a stop. you can make sure that the dreamers are protected and stop these court cases that they re bringing. you can sign us into the international climate change agreement on day one and bring back those clean power rules. i list on my website, amyklobuchar.com, about 100 things you can do, over 100, in just the first 100 days. why am i doing this? because i think years of donald trump has worn people down. they want to see action now and i think it s important for people in this country to understand there are things we can do immediately to bring back the heart and strength of this country. all right. let s test some of that. look, i think the areas are certainly ripe for discussion and there s certainly need of those issue areas of analysis that you cover. the people should read the plan for themselves. however, how you plan to do it. you have rightly criticized this president for overreaching executive action, many senators, congress members have said
her plan for addressing climate concerns. here we go, a real issue. sure. get back into that international climate change agreement. we re the only country not in it now. number two, we need to bring back the clean power rules, which are sensible ways to do this that the obama administration worked on at the end. and three, bring back the gas mileage standards that we were going to put in. she s called the green new deal aspirational, though she supports it as a framework. how s this approach to an increasingly important issue for democrats going to be received? antjuan. well, i spent time with the senator yesterday while in south carolina. i appreciate her pragmatic approach to addressing these issues. i think she s right, there s been a lot of conversation about the green deal and some of the language in it, but again, i think like any piece of legislation, it s simply a framework for all of us to think about and shoot from. i appreciate the fact that we made so much progress
last year was the fourth hottest year in american history. and the green new deal is so important right now for our country. we may not have agreements on exactly how it will work and when we can get it done. and my point that i made there was that this was a discussion we must have as a country. for too long we ve just been admiring the problem. we ve been saying, oh, it s happening. and most of the members of the senate did admit that it s happening, but what are you going to do about it? so i will, the first day as the president, sign us back into the international climate change agreement. that is on day one. [ applause ] i will also, in the first 100 days, bring back the clean power rules that the obama administration was ready to put in place, and the trump administration left on the cutting room floor. i will also bring back the gas mileage standards and then propose sweeping legislation to upgrade our infrastructure.
