As Nova Scotians already struggle with the rising cost of living, people across the province now have to deal with yet another hit to their wallets: a power rate increase.
Customers of the Manila Electric Company (Meralco) should brace for heftier electricity bills this month as the power distributor raised its household power rate for November.
In an advisory, Meralco said it increased its power rate by P0.5006 per kilowatt-hour (kWh) for September, bringing the overall rate to P11.3997 per kWh from P10.8991 in August.
