First, a funeral director found a stab wound in the neck of an 82-year-old woman who died in Apartment 6M in 2015. Four years later, the grandson of the 83-year-old woman in 11C found her strangled. Then on Friday, the son of an 78-year-old woman in 6A found her dead with a telephone cord wrapped around her neck.
Fundraiser for NHS staff at Darent Valley Hospital in Dartford after catalytic converter thefts

A fundraiser has been set up to raise money for a group of frontline NHS workers whose vehicles were targeted by callous thieves while caring for poorly patients.
The four members of staff at Darent Valley Hospital in Dartford, left work on Monday evening to find their cars, which had been left in the staff car park, had been stripped of their catalytic converters.

It prompted an outpouring of support from the local community who asked if they could offer any financial help to the two nurses, nursing assistant and physiotherapist affected.

Ottawa firefighters battled five blazes from Sunday night through Monday morning, including one in the Glebe that left a woman in critical condition and a fire at a Daly Avenue rooming house that police allege was arson.
The woman in her 60s was transferred to hospital in critical condition Sunday night after a fire broke out in a three-storey residential building on Powell Avenue between Lyon and Bank streets.

Approximately 15 residents of the property were displaced by the blaze, Ottawa Fire Services said in a news release Sunday night. The building is “categorized as a residential service home,” an Ottawa Paramedic Service spokesman said.
