Windsor to open new Poudre River park: Think lazy river meets river walk

That will change come Friday. That s when Windsor will officially unveil the first phase of its Eastman Park River Experience. Think lazy river meets river walk. This is a game-changer for Windsor, said Eric Lucas, the town s Public Service director. This was an opportunity to build a legacy project that will impact Windsor residents and tourists drawn here for many years by providing an opportunity for people to connect with the river without traveling to the mountains. The site located adjacent to Eastman Park includes a mile of river dedicated to tubing, canoeing and kayaking with launch and take-out areas. Also included is a river overlook that provides picnic and water access, views of the river and Longs Peak, a soft-surface trail, road improvements and an additional 160 parking spaces.
