Writing in The Hill, Williams wrote that Trump “produced the greatest failure of presidential leadership in history.”
Williams condemned Trump over his utter failure to handle the pandemic which resulted in the worst Covid-19 death toll globally.
In his opinion piece, he compared the Trump administration’s management of the pandemic with that of current president, Joe Biden.
“In January, Trump’s last month in the White House, the nation had the highest number of COVID-19 deaths since the pandemic began,” said Williams. “Shortly after he left office, the virus death toll topped 500,000.

Washington/New York: Twitter Inc said on Friday that it has permanently suspended US President Donald Trump’s account due to the risk of further incitement of violence following the storming of the US Capitol on Wednesday.
The suspension of Trump’s account, which had more than 88 million followers, silences his primary megaphone days before the end of his term and follows years of debate about how social media companies should moderate the accounts of powerful global leaders.
