The Carbon County Sports Hall of Fame will hold its 28th Annual Induction Ceremony on Sunday, May 28, at the Franklin Township Fire Company hall.
Doors will open at 12:30 p.m. and the banquet will beg.

This week, the Denver Broncos close out the 2020 NFL season vs. one of their old rivals, the Las Vegas Raiders, at Empower Field at Mile High.
So many memories come to mind of the Broncos playing the Raiders at home and away, in San Francisco, Oakland, Los Angeles, back to Oakland and now in Las Vegas.
But there can be no dispute as to the greatest home game the Broncos have ever had vs. Oakland, that being the win over the Raiders here in the 1977 AFC Championship Game.

It has become conventional wisdom that Christmas has much more to do with commerce than Christ. Yes, it’s nice that families can gather, prepare a feast, enjoy a nap at least when a pandemic isn’t throwing a monkey wrench into things. But isn’t that just Thanksgiving, plus a tree and presents?
Ah,
presents. For too many of us, that’s what Christmas is mostly about. And lists and stores, shops and malls, credit cards and constant reminders to “order today and still receive shipment before Christmas.”
