Midland County ranked as the 10th most generous county in the state, according to SmartAsset.com’s 2020 report.
The financial advice website reported Midland County was the top-ranked county in West Texas and ranked mostly behind counties in or around larger metropolitan areas.
Kendall, Rockwall and Collin counties made up the top three, and Denton and Fort Bend counties rounded out the top 10.
The study, according to SmartAsset.com, took into account charitable contributions as a percentage of net income and the proportion of taxpayers that made a charitable contribution of any amount in any given county.
