Updated: 1:49 PM CDT May 7, 2021 KOCO Staff Three people were killed and two others were injured Friday morning after a two-vehicle crash near Asher in Pottawatomie County.According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, the crash was reported at about 6 a.m. on U.S. 177 north of Turkey Hill Road, about 5 miles north of Asher. A vehicle that was going northbound on U.S. 177 reportedly went left of center and crashed head-on into a southbound vehicle, driven by 55-year-old James Chadwick Cravens. The car that went left of center then rolled and caught fire. Cravens, along with two people in the vehicle that went left of center, were pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities have not released the names of the other two people who were killed. Two people in Cravens vehicle were injured and taken by MediFlight to OU Medical Center in Oklahoma City. A 54-year-old woman was said to be in “stable” condition, and a 16-year-old passenger is in critical condition.
