POTSDAM The Potsdam Central School Board of Education approved several sports coaches, leaves of absences and a teacher resignation at their most recent meeting.
The Board approved the resignation of elementary special education teacher Emily Hunt.
Leaves of absences were okayed for teaching assistant Victoria Lint, English teacher Denielle Baxter, and elementary teacher Jennifer Saber.
Winter coaches approved include Steve Beast and Mike LaSala as co-assistant coaches with the boys varsity hockey team.
Ashley Chevier was appointed as a non-paid assistant coach with the girls JV basketball team and Andrew Butler as a non-paid assistant coach with the boys JV hoops program.

POTSDAM Potsdam Central School’s Board of Education met last week but the meeting was not recorded due to human error.
“We used Zoom for the last time last night, and I neglected to hit record,” said PCS Superintendent Joann Chambers. “We did have some people log in to watch it live, but it wasn t streamed on FB or recorded. Hopefully, we ll get better at all of this technology.”
PCS has been live streaming its meetings on Facebook for months due to COVID precautions which allows the public to watch from home.
St. Lawrence-Lewis BOCES spokeswoman Rebekah Mott says that all of the districts have been complying with the state s requirements to broadcast live or record and post meetings online when the public is excluded from attendance due to pandemic restrictions.
