This is the kincaid fire, which has burned, certainly, a lot. It exploded overnight again, its now at 21,000 acres. And we have 49 structures that have been destroyed. We know that 21 are homes and 28 are outbuildings or i should say were, because they are no more. And you can see the spot fires. They keep spreading as the
embers pick them up. Although today is not terribly windy. So firefighters were trying
we agree with the governor and others that there will be need to be a policy discussion at the say the level. there will be a time and place for that, and we will be glad to be part of it, but right now we need to focus all of our efforts on betting through thgetting th extreme weather event coming our way, we need to do it safely and together as californians. in terms of this next potential shutoff, we first alerted customers last night, about 48 hours in advance. we are doing so again now, 24 hours in advance. if you received notification from us about the next potential shutoff, we strongly encourage you to begin preparing pour that extended outage. take time to prepare yourself and your families and your friends while we have had short pause between the last event and the one ahead. be sure you have a plan. we have resources at our

equipment and some of our gas system as well. and we look forward to working with them to obtain full containment on that event. so with that, i will turn it over to sameet singh. thank you, mark. good evening, everyone. sameet singh. i m responsible for our wildfire safety program. i want to talk a little bit about the upcoming event to pick up where scott left off in regards to the meteorological forecast. so given the forecast that scott shared and the historical nature of what can be anticipated, we are preparing for what is likely go being going to be a widespread safety shutoff across our service territory to combat the risk of a catastrophic wildfire.
we have not made the final determination yet to move forward. we expect to make that decision at 8:00 a.m. tomorrow, which is saturday. and if we do call a public safety power shutoff, that decision will be made in consultation with our state agency partners that are here with us in our operation center, and they include the state emergency operation center. the california public utility commission and the cal fire. so if we do anticipate the forecast as scott shared, as well as what the national weather services has published, we anticipate that this shutoff could impact approximately 850,000 of our 5 million electric customers. so very significant impact. the customers are located in portions of 36 counties, and we
