well, it all started when the head of the nuclear regulatory commission told lawmakers on capitol hill that there was no water left in those fuel ponds. today, he defended his decision to call for a 50-mile evacuation from the white house. we think it s a prudent measure to follow the evacuation based on how we would handle a situation like that in the united states. and now the pentagon says that it is sending more potassium iodine tablets out to service members who are staying to help there. listen to the secretary of the air force. there is no threat to our personnel there. although radiation readings across japan are spiking temporarily based on the local conditions at the nuclear reactors involved and also the prevailing weather. so there are little spikes up and down depending on where you are.
