RCSI to increase this year’s intake of trainee surgeons from 60 to 78

A new training curriculum for Consultant Surgeons will be introduced in Ireland and the UK in August of this year,

He said that at the same time, the RCSI would begin the process of expanding the number of trainees, by increasing this year’s intake of trainee surgeons from 60 to 78.
One of the aims of the curriculum changes and the increased intake is to enhance the recruitment of Consultant Surgeons to the Model 3 Hospitals.
