PARVATHIPURAM: A teenager was convicted for 20 years in a Pocso case for cheating on a 14-year-old girl in the name of marriage in Parvathipuram Manya.
The Gauhati High Court recently set aside a conviction under the POCSO Act, holding that the statements of the victim were contradictory and no evidence of sexual assault was detected by the medical.
In a case of sexual assault on a minor boy in Tengnoupal district on October 2022, a doctor at the subdivisional hospital, Moreh, Tengnoupal district had issued a false report to the effect that no injuries were found on the victim.
