PORTSMOUTH – A number of city residents have urged the City Council to reopen the popular Portsmouth Indoor Pool, which has been closed since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Willard Avenue resident Ken Walsh reminded city councilors how “we fought hard in the past to keep our beloved pool from being deleted.”
“We’ve gone through many upgrades and repairs in the last 10 years to where we have practically a state-of-the-art indoor pool used by many people for exercise to rehab, lessons, swim teams and many more each and every day,” he said in an email to the City Council.
