COVID outbreak at Portsmouth s Edgewood Centre PORTSMOUTH – The Edgewood Centre senior care facility announced on Thursday an active COVID-19 outbreak involving 23 residents and staff members.  In a statement, the South Street facility said it was saddened to inform it is currently in outbreak status, involving 20 residents and three staff members who have tested positive for the virus.  The Edgewood Centre held its first vaccination clinic through Walgreens on Jan. 4, and we deeply regret that we did not make it to our second clinic, scheduled next Tuesday, without this outbreak, a release issued by the facility states. Patricia Cummings, Edgewood Centre administrator, said 100% of their residents consented to the vaccine, and just shy of 90% received their first dose on Jan. 4.
