Organizers of the annual automotive gathering in inner Southeast Portland promise to do it again in 2022.
Portland Transmission Warehouse has cancelled its annual downtown car show for the second year because of COVID-19 concerns.
The show, which has always been held the Saturday before Mother s Day, has traditionally draw hundreds of cars and thousands of people to the inner Southeast Portland neighborhood around its shop at 1016 S.E. Hawthorne Blvd. But the show committee decided there was no way to predict what restrictions might exist in early May, and said it was unable to connect with the City of Portland for any guidance and getting the required permits.
