An elderly Beaverton man was killed in a hit-and-run crash Saturday evening, Feb. 20.
The Washington County Sheriff s Office has identified the victim as 86-year-old Donald Ray Harvey.
The WCSO said the driver has been located and the suspect vehicle has been recovered, but did not immediately provide any more details.
According to the WCSO, around 7:40 p.m. Feb. 20, deputies responded to a report of an injured pedestrian near Southwest Clark Hill Road and Tile Flat Road in unincorporated Beaverton. A motorist driving in the area noticed there was a man lying near the roadway and stopped to check on him. Witnesses found that the male was gravely injured and that it appeared he had been hit by a car.

Gresham Police Chief Robin Sells submitted her resignation from the city of Gresham Friday morning, Feb. 19.
In a letter sent to city leadership, she emphasized the resignation was not voluntary, coming on the heels of a third-party investigation that highlighted a hostile workplace within the Gresham Police Department under her direction. I am not resigning voluntarily, but as a direct result of the city s choice to release a deeply flawed report without affording me due process, Sells wrote.
