The TriMet project to improve Blue Line service will last until Sunday, May 23.
TriMet MAX riders need to plan ahead because crews will begin making rail improvements in Northeast Portland starting on Saturday, May 15.
MAX Blue, Green and Red lines will be disrupted and no trains will be running between Northeast 7th Avenue and the Gateway Transit Center from Saturday, through Sunday, May 23.
Impacts will also be felt elsewhere, with no Green or Red line trains running west of the Gateway Transit Center.
During the project, shuttle buses will be serving stations between Northeast 7th Avenue and the Gateway Transit Center. Due to the length of the route, riders should plan an extra 30 minutes for their trips, or, if possible, use alternative means of transportation if traveling through that area.
PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) The winter storm of snow and ice pummeling Oregon and southwest Washington closed I-84 Friday night and ODOT said it will be re-opened only when it is safe to do so.
Early Saturday morning, Feb. 13, TriMet announced that all MAX and bus service have been canceled until further notice due to the weather conditions. Streets in Portland were closed because of icy conditions and chains are required in certain spots. We are working to restore service as soon as it safe to do so. We ask riders for their patience and understanding, as this is for their safety and the safety of our employees, a TriMet spokesperson said.
