This was a muni construction inspector and his job was to be near the construction site making sure crews and passengers all know what is going on. We do not know if the injured worker was on the street or the sidewalk by that 8 00 this morning the dump truck hit the muni work causing serious injuries. The muni inspector was able to communicate and the driver of the truck is cooperating with investigators. That will all be part of the investigation but in the meantime this was 8 00 this morning when this happened and as you can see both directions are back open to traffic again.
