An app developed by Northwest Pennsylvania Collegiate Academy students has won a top prize in Samsung s Solve for Tomorrow contest. The school is one of three national winners in the contest and will receive $130,000 worth of technology plus an additional $15,000 as the Samsung Employee Choice Award Winner. That total includes $65,000 worth of technology won in April for being among the 10 national finalists in the contest, a Samsung spokeswoman said Tuesday. This diverse group of students came together to make a positive change in our society, Joe Stinziano, an executive vice president with Samsung Electronics America, said in presenting a top award to Collegiate virtually Tuesday evening.
