It’s an add-on Shield to expand the functionality of the Arduino Portenta H7. It’s aimed at edge ML (machine learning) applications. In terms of supporting machine vision, the Portenta Vision Shield comes with an ultra-low-power Himax camera (for QVGA – a 324×324 pixel camera sensor). The module autonomously detects motion while the H7 is in stand-by mode, which means only waking up the microcontroller when needed.
