Daniel Whelan Aluminium and steel stockholder Richard Austin Alloys’ plans for a 37,000 sq ft complex at Northbank Industrial Estate in Irlam, and a Peel L&P recycling facility off Liverpool Road in Eccles are both tipped for approval.  Richard Austin Alloys bought a 2.2-acre plot at Northbank from local landowner North Cheshire Developments for £730,000 in 2018 and wants to redevelop the site into a 33,000 sq ft storage and distribution unit and 4,000 sq ft office.   Subject to planning approval from Salford City Council, the firm would relocate to Northbank, between Cadishead Way and Brinall Road, from its existing regional headquarters off Bessemer Road in Irlam, as part of an expansion strategy.
